KinderACADEMY Program for K1 & K2

The children will have the opportunity to work and explore more deeply on their current project, extending their learning and deepening their knowledge on the topic of interest. Teachers work hand in hand with the children, broadening their learning experiences by supplementing the classroom resources with appropriate materials and curriculum. A higher level of in-depth discussion will take place each morning after their project exploration to refine project ideas, clarify questions, introduce new concepts and brainstorm hypotheses. During this process, decision making and problem solving skills are in practice.
There will be an option to extend the children's learning in our afternoon enrichment program each day which covers English Phonics, Fun with Chinese, Japanese language and Creative Mixed Medium Art.
We start each day with a morning discussion with the children where we talk about the children's interests, observations, inquiries which they hope to solve together as a group. We believe that children are endowed with “a hundred languages”. These languages are the innovation, construction, fantasy, art, music, dance, building, writing, talking, signing, science, and body as well as soul elements. These “languages” are used to help children build and understand the world around them. Children may be involved in several in-depth projects throughout the year. These projects are thorough studies of concepts and ideas based on the information gathered about children’s interests. Teachers act as partners on these projects, guiding their learning journeys by introducing new ideas and concepts in multiple forms, such as print, art, drama, music, puppetry, movement and so on. Such diverse presentations offer children different perspectives about the world.

Emergent curriculum is at the heart
Our curriculum topics are built around a series of inquiries that grow out of the children’s authentic interests as well as from quality interaction with children and their families. Teachers and children work hand in hand together as we explore, experiment, investigate. Together with the power of the children’s boundless curiosity, we immerse the children in the process and joys of real discovery.

Environment is our third teacher
Great care is taken to construct an open, free-flowing and stimulating environment that allows for uninterrupted exploration, play and learning. Children also take their learning experiences outdoors as we bring their classroom to greater heights and lengths. We aim to provide warm, safe and nurturing environment which will cultivate children's optimal social and emotional growth as well as their physical and intellectual skills.
Art & Creativity
Art is one of the medium our educators encourage the children to communicate. It is the medium by which teachers “listen” to the children. We have in-house artists working with our children, injecting fundamental yet sophisticated art elements on the various projects undertaken through their school year.
Mindfulness Program
Mindfulness activities teach our children to accept their emotions and experiences in the moment, without critical or negative judgment, allowing them the space to be acknowledged, felt, and as a result, worked through. Our in-house kids yoga instructors routinely work mutually with our educators and children to develop their emotional regulation skills.
Jolly Phonics
A fun, child-centered and multi-sensory program which allows young children to develop their love for reading and writing.
Fun with Chinese
Learning a second language has never been so fun! Our experienced Chinese native teachers use storytelling, drama, puppetry, games and many more to capture the children's interest for a new language.
